Signs God Is Preparing You For a Relationship

God wants you to be happy. In Pslams 35:27, he says that takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servants. We also know from John 10:10 that God wants you to enjoy everyday life. One way of achieving the abundant life that God wants for you is by being in a godly relationship with someone who genuinely loves you. However, you shouldn’t attempt to get into a relationship prematurely because instead of enjoying it, you will end up regretting it. This is why it is a good idea to look for signs that god is preparing you for a relationship.

What Are the Signs That God Is Getting You Ready For a Relationship?

Before you try to get into a relationship, check yourself to make sure you are ready. Some of the signs that you are ready for a relationship include a feeling that you’re ready to love, a push to pray for a partner, and getting healed from past hurts.

You Are Feeling Ready And Open to Love

If you are feeling ready and open to love, it could be a sign that God is preparing you for a relationship. See, God will always give you what you are ready for. If you study teh scriptures, you will see how God always started by preparing the ground first before he released any kind of blessing. As early as Genesis, God is big on preparation. In Genesis 2:5, we see that God had not yet sent rain on earth because there was no man to till the ground. So in preparation for the rain that would eventually come, God created man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it. In other words, God would only send rain when the ground had been prepared.

In like manner, if you have worked on yourself and are at a place where you feel ready and open to love, it could be a sign that God has been preparing you for a relationship. It is dangerous to get into a relationship unless you are ready because you will either end up hurt or the other person will end up hurt. But after you have “prepared your ways before the Lord,” you will be ready for a fulfilling relationship.

You Are Praying For a Partner

If you are praying for a partner, it is a sign God is leading you into a relationship. The Bible says that if you delight yourself in the Lord, he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4). This means that if you have been desiring a partner to the extent that you have started praying for one, it is an indication that God is preparing you for a relationship.

When you pray for a partner, you are essentially asking God to bring the right person into your life. This means that you are trusting God to lead you and to provide for you. It also means that you are willing to wait for God’s timing, even if it means waiting longer than you would like.

If you are praying for a partner, be patient and trust that God is working in your life. He will bring the right person into your life at the right time. Remember, the Bible says ask and you shall receive, seek and you find, knock and the door shall be opened (Matthew 7:7). So, just keep asking, seeking, and knocking, and eventually, God will lead you to the right person.

You Are Meeting New People

Author and pastor Rick Warren says that God will never waste an experience, whether good or bad. Every encounter is not a chance encounter but a divine appointment. The Bible says that the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord (psalms 37:23). This means that you should think lightly of any encounter you have. For instance, if you start meeting new people who seem to show interest in you, it might be a spiritual sign that God is preparing you for a relationship.

Remember, there are only two possible ways to get into a relationship with someone. Either meet someone new or start seeing one of your friends or acquaintances. Either way, the relationship will be sparked by the two of you actually meeting. Maybe it’s an old friend that you reconnect to in a seemingly chance event. Or maybe it’s someone totally new that you met through a friend. Whatever the case might be, meeting new people  (or re-meting old acquaintances) may be a sign that God is getting you ready for a relationship.

You Are Being Healed From Past Hurts

A hurt heart hurts. If you have just broken up with someone, you will be in no condition to get into a meaningful relationship. You will be too vulnerable to make any sober decision and you will most likely make decisions out of anger, regret, and hurt. This will only make the problems worse. The best way to deal with transitioning from a breakup into a new relationship is to stay away from meeting new people and just focus on healing from the past hurts fast. Depending on how deeply you were hurt and your personality, you might take a long or a short time to heal.

Once you heal, you will be ready to make a sober decision on your relationship. After you heal from your past hearts, you will be able to see beyond the deceitfulness of the heart to avoid falling into another trap that will take you back to the same road you have just healed from. This means that if you notice that you are healed from any past hurts, then it might be an indication that you are ready for a relationship.

Conclusion

To sum it up,  recognizing the signs that God is preparing you for a relationship is crucial in ensuring a fulfilling and meaningful partnership. When you feel ready and open to love, pray earnestly for a partner, find yourself meeting new people, or experience healing from past hurts, these are not mere coincidences but potential divine guidance toward a loving relationship. Trust in God’s timing and guidance, for He is the ultimate matchmaker, aligning your path with the right person when the time is right. Remember, preparation precedes blessings, so be patient and allow God to lead you toward a relationship that aligns with His plan for your happiness and prosperity.
